school holiday fun...

We are three days into the school holidays, and already we are doing those fun family lazy holiday things... building cubby houses, bike riding, visiting the park.

The first picture shows Beth and Liam eating morning tea in the super deluxe cubby house I had to build for them on Friday - probably my best yet, I would say!

The second image shows Liam and Beth's first bike ride beyond our street. We r
ode (actually they rode while I walked along helping push up hills and walking bikes across the road, etc) all the way to the park and back.

Beth is in the third shot, climbing the steps of the slide at the park.

run, liam, run!

When you watch your little baby boy running down the race track in his first real sports day race, you can't help but have tears in your eyes. This morning our little fella ran his first sports day race, and participated in his first sports day ball games. I was so proud, even though he did come last (as expected, really, although watching the video back it seems to be more due to chatting to the boy in the lane next to him than due to running style/speed). Brought back lots of memories.

let's dress up!

Liam and Beth love to play together, especially dress-ups. This photo makes me realise how fast they are both growing up.

jumping in puddles...

Last Monday's all-day rain resulted in our yard becoming quite the playground full of very inviting puddles. Having been cooped up inside for most of the day, what better way to spend a wet afternoon than with raincoat, boots and umbrellas, outside in the rain and jumping in the puddles.
