Broken Head camping...

Ahhh... there's nothing like a good camping trip... with great location, good friends, great weather, pretty good camping food, great camping ground with top amenities, and definitely a good book!

Byron Bay Lighthouse

Down at Broken Head (just south of Byron Bay), we spent a wonderful weekend with our friends from Rocky days - the Pattemores.  It was not only a great time of catching up together, but of exploring the beauty of our surroundings, and of course, trying to capture some good photos!  This was the view from our campsite!!!

The headland of Broken Head is a great walk, and we did it a couple of times.  Grassy knolls, steep rocky drops, swirling ocean below, hidden beaches - great for a good Aussie adventure!

 

 

 

We had VERY photographic clouds this day!

 

 

 

I don't think we've ever found such vibrantly coloured shells before - this deep purple one really stood out.  (And made it home for Beth's special collection!)

 

One moment after this photo was taken, the wind swept Andy's hat away!  He did manage to retrieve it from the rocks below, but in so doing he missed out on the photo below.
