Deck update

Yep, the steps are off. We have to rock-climb up and down to get to the chooks/ backyard/ wheelie bins/ veggie patch. Has been this way for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to having them back soon!

How to enjoy a birthday...

Enjoy the winter sunshine. Take family bike-riding along the Kedron Brook bikeways, geocaching along the way. Ride approximately 14km all up!

Check out the new airport link tunnels while they're still free!

Hit Max Brenner's chocolate bar hard. Spend the money and try the waffles, or better still the signature chocolate souffle with the warm gooey chocolate centre! Take good friends along too to make the experience even better. Yummmmmm...

All decked out...

For some time now, Andy has been hankering to sand back the cheap maroon paint on the deck and bring the boards into their glory!  The process began several weeks ago...

Junk and furniture are removed.  Sander is hired and work begins...

Back and forth, back and forth. Noise and dust, noise and dust...

Back and forth, back and forth... Don't those bare boards look good?

Phew! Sweaty work!

Second little sander is hired to get to the edges...

Decking oil is purchased and applied, under supervision of the cat! Nice!
