Just prior to the Easter school holidays, we were able to spend the morning at Liam's school doing some fun Easter crafts in Liam's classroom. It turned out to be pouring with torrential rain that morning, but Beth put her umbrella and raincoat to good use - splashing in the puddles, standing under dripping shade sails, etc. It was a great way to fill in 20 minutes before going into the classroom! Inside, the classroom became nothing short of chaos as parents, students and siblings coloured, cut, glued, decorated and painted our way through a handful of craft activities. Beth got to have a taste of sitting at a 'big kid's' desk, feeling like a proper schoolgirl. Only 2 more years, Beth, and it will be your turn!
We hosted Liam's first birthday party about a month ago to celebrate his sixth birthday. We had some schoolfriends over for a couple of hours for the usual party games, party food, cake and presents... Liam had a blast, and we spent the evening recovering in exhaustion later on. I now understand the reason why many parents opt for the 'McDonald's' or similar style party!
