Holiday happenings...

The City...
We had a couple of vouchers for a Games Parlour to use up, so we took the bus into town to the Fun House at the Myer Centre and spent some time playing on all sorts of fun machines and gathering tickets! I think we all had a ball, and the kids loved spending the tickets at the end of the day on all sorts of junk made in China!
We also visited the Brisbane Square Library where Beth did a craft activity and Liam curled up on a couch with a book.
Beth was caught napping on the bus on our way in!
Bribie...
We spent a day at Mum's at Bribie just before Christmas and made the most of the pleasant weather for a couple of hours at the beach. Great surf!

So this was Christmas...

We began on Christmas Eve with some sneaky trampoline assembly whilst the kiddies were out for the afternoon with Uncle Aaron and Joke...
Didn't take too long to complete the task...
And it was met with jumps of approval early Christmas Day!
We did presents...
Which included Abbie, of course!
Liam's sense of humour... The shirt reads 'Dads! Proudly refusing to ask directions since 1845!'
Too many presents... WAY too spoilt!
Andy didn't take long to assemble his new 'Ziggy' BBQ!
We spent the evening with Andy's folks, my Mum, Elaine, Aaron and Joke and took some more fun family photos!
Andy LOVES his new BBQ!

Coolangatta... And GREAT weather this time!

After last year's holiday washout, we were blessed this year with wonderful warm sunshine (with a little bit of the usual wind and rain) during our annual holiday at the Gold Coast.
We had a great spot this year in a little unit across the road from Rainbow Bay. We even had our own piece of front lawn! So nice to be able to sit inside and look out at the gorgeous view.
So what did we get up to?

Beach!
Currumbin Rock Pools
Lots of walks and a bit of geocaching...
Lots of admiring of our view...
Daytime naps...
Yummy gelato... Soo creamy!
Plus lots more... Library visits, scootering, playgrounds, op-shopping, board games, movies, visits from friends and family... Good times.

We did camping...

At Kenilworth Homestead during the long weekend of the September school break, we joined hundreds of other campers for some great weather, relaxed hours, swimming in the river, campfires and great portaloo experiences...

Warm yellows and oranges... Including spectacular sunsets.
Cool blues and greens...
Browns...

Best camping trip yet! Thanks, Cross clan, for camping with us again and making it complete!

First swim of the 2012-2013 summer swimming season!
