Junior school in concert...

Another two years have passed since our last junior school concert, held every two years in September. Each concert sees each year level present an item, and the concert is presented on two nights and also on Grandparents' Day. The kids just love it, and spend much spare time in Term 3 practising and preparing.
This year, the Year Twos (Beth's class) presented a Japanese story, meaning Beth got to dress up in a hot pink kimono and have her hair done beautifully!
The Year Fours (Liam's class) presented a number of smaller items from other nations around the world. Liam's group paired up and learnt a simple South American salsa, which despite his declared embarrassment at having to hold a girl's hand (!!) he seemed to quite enjoy.

A few little things...

Our first broccoli harvest. This tasted as good as it looks!

Opportunist. Our Abbie is always making the most of an open door or drawer!

Making money... Need to clean the house? Employ the kids!

We finally went to the Ekka again!

After 5 years, we finally made it back! We did lots of usual Ekka stuff: watching wood chopping, taste-testing at the Woolworths Fresh Food pavilion, watching entertainment at the Grand Arena, wandering through sideshow alley and having a couple of rides, trying the strawberry icecreams (we weren't that impressed!), visiting the animals, buying show bags and doing lots and lots of walking!
With the exorbitant cost of rides, we decided 2 would be the limit. The Dodgems were the first port of call, and at $14 for 2 cars, it meant we could all enjoy the fun!
The Magic Circus was the next choice... Basically a three-storey fun house that both kids loved!
