It's snowing in Brisbane???

So, it snowed in Everton Park last weekend - very localised, though, with only 40 tonnes falling outside Anaconda, and nowhere else!!! Well, sort of. Don't know which company deposited the snow for them, but it certainly drew the crowds for some fun in the white stuff. There was a small area for free-play, and another area made up for a small toboggan run.

The kids had an awesome time on the toboggan rides.

Hmmm... maybe a trip to the snow would be a fun idea for a future holiday perhaps???

Ballet Days...

Here's our ballet girl... One of the birthday presents this year was her very own pink tutu. Recently, we were able to see a small ballet presentation on the back deck!

We were also recently invited to view Beth's ballet class. Usually parents and siblings aren't allowed to be present as it is thought to be a distraction to the girls. As I hadn't seen a class all year, I had been waiting and waiting in anticipation for this day! It was wonderful to see how far Beth has progressed this year, how much she enjoys herself, and to also see what a great ballet teacher she has in Miss Nicole.

Posture, girls! Sit up straight!

One thing that kept me amused was the appearance of Beth's tongue throughout the class. In her efforts at concentration, that little tongue often makes an appearance, doing little dances of its own. Not the most ballerina-like look, but funny all the same!

Beth is first row on the right.
